When you realize a prayer has been answered

So, last week, I told y’all about God answering a prayer within fifteen minutes.  Honestly, y’all, I’m still amazed by His goodness and His mercy.  When you realize a prayer has been answered, it gives me hope there will be answers to the bigger prayers, too.

Have you ever prayed about something, maybe even prayed about it several times, and didn’t even realize when the answer came?

Pleaseee tell me I’m not the only one with her eyes closed a time or two and missed an important answer?

I know.  You’re probably sitting there and asking me, “Cassie, how on earth do you miss something you’ve prayed for?“

I hear you asking, because it’s a question I had to ask myself, too.

Prayer: What to Do When Something Important is Lost…

Prayer.

It’s a pretty powerful thing, y’all.  Prayer is our direct line of communication with our Heavenly Father.  We can take all of our needs and requests to Him in prayer.  And, sometimes, if we listen hard enough, we can hear the Father speaking back to us during our prayer time, too.

But, do you know what else is really great about prayer?

Well, two things, actually.

  1. According to 1 John 5:14-15, if we ask anything of the Father according to His will, we can be confident that He hears us.
  2. Answers and solutions come when we pray.

Have you ever lost something extremely important?  And no matter where you look, you just can’t seem to find that super important thing?

Feeling weak? Find your strength in the Lord.

Hey, friend.  Welcome back to the new and improved site!  Please bear with me as I continue to figure out the new features.  Blogging is hard, y’all.  Thank goodness I can find strength in the Lord to continue on!  🙂

What Are You Waiting For? Time to Take Prayerful Action

Alright, friends.  So, I’ve been sitting on this post for a couple of weeks now.  Like, pretty close to a month.  And I decided last week, Thursday maybe?, that I would take prayerful action and post this particular post this week.  Wouldn’t you know, the visiting preacher touched on part of this post before he began preaching last Saturday night.  Kind of had to laugh a little.  Perfect timing.

“Yeah, I’ve been thinking about doing that… I just haven’t yet.”

“Oh, yeah!  I had that same idea a while ago.  I just.. well, I’ve been thinking on it.”

Raise of hands, friend.  How many of us have heard something similar along these lines?

Serve Jesus. Serve others.

Sorry, y’all.  I totally did not mean to disappear for two weeks!  Last week was Vacation Bible School at my church.  (Side note: want to find a way to serve others? Volunteer for VBS!)  Let’s be honest here, does anything else really get done during VBS?

No.  The answer is no.

But, I’m back now and I want to share a little thought with you that I’ve been thinking about since the weekend.

This past Saturday night, my church family and I traveled an hour and a half to be in service with a fellow church.  When I say traveled, I actually mean we white-knuckled the handles on the door and prayed we wouldn’t slide off the edge of the mountain on the way there.  Not kidding, y’all.

But despite the beautiful mountain views and the breath-taking moments, the service left me with a considerable amount of “stuff” to ponder over.
