How Trusting Siri is a lot Like Learning to Trust God

Okay, friends story time.  Gather around.  It became abundantly clear to me earlier in the week that we sometimes have no choice but to trust God.

Alright.  So, earlier last week, I was doing a little traveling for my job.  Where I was going wasn’t too much off the beaten path.  But, since I wasn’t familiar with the area, had to be at the place at a particular time, and didn’t want to miss a turn, I did what many of us do these days.  I punched the address right into the Maps app on my phone and let Siri lead the way. When You Desperately Need Jesus: Keep Walking

Are you in place where you desperately need Jesus?  I know I have been there a time or two.

So, do you ever have those moments when you’re reading the Bible and suddenly something you’ve missed for years pops off the page?

Surely, it’s not just me who experiences that, right? I don’t know what happens.  I’ll be reading a familiar passage and suddenly, it’s like I see something in new light.  Or maybe, God just reveals it to me? I don’t know.

When You Need to Remember to Trust God

Trusting God. Why do we, as Christians, sometimes have trouble with just simply remembering to trust God?

Do you know, friend, what’s one thing that’s super important that we, as followers of Christ, need to do?

The answer is: trust God.

When You’re In a Season of Struggle

Ugh.  Do you ever have a season of struggle?  Kind of like you’ve been planted, but you’re stuck?

Do you ever have those days, weeks even, where it feels like you just cannot get ahead no matter what you do?  You’ve been praying for a change or a different season, but you just feel stuck, everything is dark, and you’re weary?

Are You About to Give Up? Don’t + Free Devotional

Can I be honest with you for a minute, friend?  I almost gave up.

I considered quitting blogging a few weeks ago.

Yes, friend, you read that right.  I, the one who’s been encouraging you for well over a year now to embrace your calling from God and find your purpose, I almost gave up.

I wish I had a good read to give you as to why I considered quitting blogging.  But, I’m afraid, friend, that my reasons were… well, they were just silly.

I think, though, the reasons I had to just give up were issues many people doing a work for the Lord deal with.
